What to Expect During The Construction Process

Start Permit, Engineering Plans & HOA . We shall acquire the permits for the construction of the pool. All plans must comply with state, local and HOA building requirements. Your permit is prepared and submitted. Permit processing time varies by city. After the permit is approved by the city we can start construction.

Construction begins with excavation, when the pool is carefully laid out and the ground is prepared according to the approved plans.

2.⁠ ⁠Form & Steel
The pool structure is formed and reinforced with steel rebar, creating the framework for the pool shell.

3.⁠ ⁠Required Inspections
Throughout construction, required inspections are completed at different stages to verify compliance with applicable building codes and approved plans.

4.⁠ ⁠Gunite / Pool Shell
Gunite is applied to create the structural shell of your pool, including features such as steps, benches, spas, and sun shelves when included in your design.

5.⁠ ⁠Backfill & Site Preparation
After the gunite phase, areas around the pool are backfilled and prepared for the next stages of construction.

6.⁠ ⁠Plumbing Installation & Inspection
Plumbing lines are installed between the pool, spa, water features, and equipment area, followed by applicable inspections.

7.⁠ ⁠Deck Preparation
The area surrounding the pool is graded, prepared, and compacted for the installation of the deck.

8.⁠ ⁠Deck Installation
The pool deck is installed according to the materials and layout selected for your project.

9.⁠ ⁠Tile & Coping Installation
Your selected waterline tile and coping are installed, bringing the design and finishes of your pool together.

10.⁠ ⁠Homeowner Responsibilities
Certain items may be the homeowner’s responsibility unless otherwise specified in the contract, including landscaping, sod, fencing, irrigation, and other property-related requirements necessary for final inspections.

11.⁠ ⁠Clean-Up & Final Inspections
As construction nears completion, the job site is cleaned and the project moves through the applicable final inspections.

12.⁠ ⁠Pool Equipment & Electrical
Pool equipment, including the pump, filter, automation, heater when applicable, lighting, and electrical components, is installed and prepared for operation.

13.⁠ ⁠Interior Finish & Pool Filling
The interior pool finish is applied and the pool is filled with water. Once filling begins, it is important to follow the instructions provided by our team.

14.⁠ ⁠Start-Up
Once the pool is filled, the startup process begins. The equipment is started and the water chemistry is adjusted as required for the new interior finish.
